Around 80% of new businesses in New Zealand fail in the first two years! Our first business goal was always to make it this far. With your help, Heat Pumps NOW has done more than just survive, we have thrived. Thank you. New Christchurch OfficeWe grew during 2016, moving out of our home office and establishing Heat Pumps NOW HQ at the Home Ideas Centre in Riccarton. That’s meant we are close by to chat with people wanting to renovate their Christchurch homes or have a chat about heating and cooling solutions. We’ve also hired more people to ensure you get top customer service every time you pick up the phone, log on to Facebook or send us an email. 17 Year Old Heat PumpA particular highlight for 2016 was finding a 17 year old heat pump still in good working order. It’s a testament to how long heat pumps can last with regular cleaning and professional servicing. If you have ever questioned the value of regular cleaning and servicing, Lynne’s 17 year old heat pump is a great example.  We Love ChristchurchCommunity has always been at the heart of Heat Pumps NOW, and part of that means working with other local businesses to ensure everyone’s needs are taken care of. Another Wild ComparisonA Heat Pumps NOW favourite is making wild comparisons between us, Christchurch events and current affairs. 2016 was no exception. According to us, Heat Pumps NOW is like the Chinese New Year and the Irish Rugby team just to name a few. Continuing Heat Pumps NOW’s proud tradition of wild comparisons, there’s one more we’d like to make. Politics can be such a divisive topic, so we want to be clear that Heat Pumps NOW is not getting into political articles. John Key’s decision to stand down as prime minister came as a shock to many in his party, around Christchurch and the rest of New Zealand. Love him or loathe him, we can all agree that New Zealand’s top job is not an easy one. Like John Key, Heat Pumps NOW wants to be the leader in Christchurch for the next ten years! We’d also love doing funny videos on national TV, but perhaps have a better record of staying away from ponytails… Whether you’re leading New Zealand’s government or leading the Christchurch heat pump industry, you have to make big decisions and give the people what you think they want.
