When Christchurch is freezing and your heat pump is working hard, sometimes all you can think of is getting away to somewhere warmer. A proper holiday. Well, a new era of cheaper flights might be here thanks to Jetstar opening up flights to regional New Zealand. Proudly Serving ChristchurchJetstar has a controversial reputation in the media. To be fair, nobody is perfect, but sometimes it seems Jetstar is treated quite harshly. In 2014, Jetstar was recognized as the most punctual domestic airline in New Zealand. Jetstar’s domestic cancellation rate in 2014 was 0.7%, equivalent to less than one cancelled flight per 140 scheduled services. Heat Pumps NOW is pretty excited by Jetstar expanding their domestic routes. At this stage, they’re only flying out of Auckland to New Plymouth, Napier, Nelson and Palmerston North. We’re looking forward to phase two of their plan when Christchurch gets connected to Dunedin, Queenstown, and Nelson. New Regional RoutesAs much as we love Christchurch, affordable and direct weekend getaways to warmer, sunnier Nelson would be welcome. While Jetstar is not currently flying that route directly, you’ll soon be able to book through Jetstar to fly from Christchurch to Nelson via Wellington. It’s a bit annoying right now, but if you can get cheap fares it will probably be quicker and cheaper than driving, as well as cheaper than a direct Air New Zealand flight. Jetstar starting these regional routes has forced Air New Zealand to drop their prices and step up their own regional service. They aren’t the only player in the game anymore. They’ve got to face some stiff competition, and will have to pull their socks up if they want people to continue using their service. If you know Heat Pumps NOW, you know we love making comparisons to what’s going on in New Zealand. When Heat Pumps NOW first came on the scene in Christchurch, the big heat pump players were pretty well established. They were comfortable with the way they were doing things, with a focus on profit instead of people. Just like Jetstar, Heat Pumps NOW has brought some serious competition and shown the big boys that there’s a different way of doing business. We are genuinely in the business of helping our community. We also want to be the most punctual heat pump installers in Christchurch. Staying warm in winter is a priority for you, so it’s a top priority for us. We will turn up when we say we will, and try our best to put the ‘now’ in Heat Pumps NOW. Is Heat Pumps NOW really like Jetstar? Our pricing is competitive, just like Jetstars, and we’ve hear rumblings from some of the big heat pump players that they’re unhappy with their new competition and lower profit margins.
Unlike Jetstar, Heat Pumps NOW is a full frills service. We don’t skimp on anything, scale our customer service depending on the price, or charge for extras like quotes, or quick lessons in using your heat pump. You can always expect this from Heat Pumps NOW, included in the full package at no extra cost to you. So we might need to wait a little bit longer before Jetstar is rolling out its regional flights around the South Island from Christchurch, but Heat Pumps NOW’s competitive, punctual, and high levels of service from are here and ready… now.
