The David Awards 2016 Have Started!

Representing Christchurch... Heat Pumps NOW 

Last year Heat Pumps NOW entered a national competition for small businesses called The David Awards. 
​
Like the legendary struggle between David and Goliath, The David Awards aim to recognize small businesses who are taking on big companies every day and do amazing things. 

2015 Champions: Heat Pumps NOW

When we entered last year we thought we would give it a go and see what happens, not thinking a small heat pump company from Christchurch would get anywhere. Heat Pumps NOW entered the categories for Most Community Minded Business and Most Outstanding Fledgling Business.

We were absolutely blown away when we learned we had made it through to the finals in both categories. Later, The David Awards judges announced Heat Pumps NOW won Most Community Minded Business AND Most Outstanding Fledgling Business. Not only that, they decided we were the best business entry overall and awarded Heat Pumps NOW the Supreme Award 2015!

It’s still our privilege to share our success with you. As our community, you’re the only reason Heat Pumps NOW is here. It’s our pleasure to serve the people of Christchurch and help with your heating and cooling needs.

Heat Pumps NOW Going Again 2016!

When entries opened for The David Awards 2016 we decided Heat Pumps NOW should have another crack. Heat Pumps NOW celebrated its 2nd Birthday earlier in the year, which you will remember if you entered our Surprise Giveaway competition. That means Heat Pumps NOW is not eligible for the Most Outstanding Fledgling Business Award. 

Instead, we’ve gone for the Most Outstanding Established Business instead. There will be a lot of tough competition in this category, as we’re going up against some amazing Christchurch and nationally based businesses. We wish everyone good luck and we look forward to getting feedback from the judging panel.

The David Awards are fantastic opportunity for us, and other small businesses around New Zealand strive for excellence in their communities, go the extra mile for their customers, and make the area you live in a better place to be.

hese should be goals for everyone in business, whether you are entering a competition or not. 

It’s also an opportunity for everyone involved in Heat Pumps NOW to reflect on how far we have come and what we have achieved in a very short space of time.

Sometimes it’s easy to get bogged down in the daily-grind and it’s good to reflect on victories, no matter how small, and celebrate the difference we have been able to make in people’s lives.

We will keep you up-to-date with Heat Pumps NOW’s progress in The David Awards this year. We will know by mid-September if Heat Pumps NOW has made it through to the finals.
